2015 Highlights
Once I decided that I was interested in photographing birds, I spent a lot of time at the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area and the Putah Creek Riparian Preserve. Both are near where I live in Davis, California. Yolo County is on the Pacific Flyway, the west coast super-highway for migratory birds.
These images are my first attempts with bird photography, mostly taken in the Fall of 2015. I didn't have a great lens when I started and I was learning how to dial in appropriate camera settings. I was tickled when something halfway decent tumbled out of the camera.
